Crescent Fishing Club

Five acres on the river off Lewis Road. Three houses, one long table, and a family story worth telling.

Our Story

How the Club Came to Be

Crescent Fishing Club sits on about five acres off Lewis Road in Eureka, Missouri, right on the river. But the story of how it got its name starts with a double date.

Brett Shelton had fallen in love with a piece of river property he found online — so much so that he showed up late to a double date with his fiancée Molly O'Brien, his brother Chad, and Chad's girlfriend Rebecca Gieseking. When everyone asked what had kept him, Brett said he'd been looking at an amazing place off Lewis Road that he wanted to buy. The listing agent had told him it was owned by three beautiful girls who'd had it willed to them by their father.

What Brett didn't know: the property belonged to Rebecca and her sisters, Marie and Laura Gieseking — willed to them by their father. He'd been trying to buy a place from his future sister-in-law, and his brother's future wife, without having the faintest clue.

The family kept the land, gave it a name, and never let Brett forget it. Welcome to Crescent Fishing Club.
